Tigers strengthen Roster

With just over a week to go to the start of the SNL season the Tigers have strengthened their roster with signing of goal keeper John Nicol. John spent last season with the Fife Flyers and has signed a 2-way contract with the Elite League team for the coming season. Also putting pen to paper are returnees Graeme Carstairs and Mark McLeod along side new signing Josh McCluskey. With the deadline fast approaching for players to register in time for Tigers opener away to Aberdeen on the 10th of September keep checking back for more signing news.

More Tigers Return

This week saw the return of Tigers talismanic team captian Paul Guilcher for the 2011/12 season. A leader on and off the ice, Paul is a a key piece of the Tigers jigsaw and he'll be looking to lead the team scoring once again. Also returning is influential defensman Stuart Barnett. Stuart plays every shift with passion and is the kind of player everyone wants on their team.

Signing Update

The Dundee Tigers can confirm the return of 4 players from their 2010/11 squad and a new addition to the team for the coming season. Long-serving forward Steven Turnbull, defencemen Gavin Hart and Craig Kearney and last season Clubman Award Winner, Goalkeeper John Robb will all be lacing them up in Tigers colours again. Joining the Tigers is Craig Buist, a former Perth junior player who will be making his SNL debut this year.

Tigers Trio Return

The Dundee Tigers are happy to announce their first signings of the 2011/12 season. Eck Purves, Ryan McFarlane and Ian Carstairs have all put pen to paper and are ready for the new season to get underway. Influential defenceman Eck returns after his Player of the Year and Players Player award winning season and will be a key part of the Tigers puzzle in their push for honours. Sniper Ryan is looking to improve on an impressive 2011/12 campaign where he was Tigers top assist maker. Tigers stalwart Carstairs looks likely to again take up the player coach role for the team and is looking for a push to the SNL title.

With the season fast approaching the Tigers are now looking to firm up the signings of a numbers of important returnees and add to the squad with an influx of fresh faces.

The Dundee Tigers have a long and proud history. Nothing shows this more than the signed photograph recently received from Dave Percy Snr. The picture shows the very first Dundee Tigers team who competed in the Scottish National League in the 1938-39 season.
